Its is a Two-year residential programme. The aim of the programme is to mould future managers, who would be future business architects and who would contribute to the business community through their impeccable service and leadership. The programme is designed keeping the requirement of the industries and global development in mind. The outcomes of the programme are well defined. The interface with the industry is at the optimum level so that the passing out graduates feel comfortable right from day one in their careers. The programme is duly recognized by the AICTE. As the Institute is autonomous, the programme curriculum is reviewed and revised from time to time. Case study method and project method are the main pedagogical tools. Students spend one day in a week to work for their different project assignments. The Institute has hostel facilities for boys and girls separately. The hostel rooms are spacious and well-furnished. The hostels also have sports and other recreational facilities. The hostel mess is operated by the students themselves on co-operative basis. A variety of vegetarian food is served in the mess. 6. How can I get admission to this programme?
The admissions procedure for students consists of two steps. The applicant for the programme is required to appear for the MAT in the first phase. The Management Aptitude Test is usually held in the month of December. In the second phase, short listed candidates are called for Group Discussion and Interview at IPM Meerut. The admission results are generally announced within 15 days of GD & PI . ^top
7. What are the eligibility criteria?
A three-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/ AICTE as eligible for Post-graduate studies with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required. Candidate appearing in the final examination of a bachelor’s degree can also apply. Adequate weight is given for work experience.

9. Does Institute have seats for Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Management Quota (MQ).?
Fifteen percent of seats are reserved for these categories. Candidate who wish to be considered for these categories should enclose a bank draft for US $ 20 or Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Institute of Productivity and Management payable at Meerut along with the completed application form.

11. How much is the academic load?
The programme is designed in semesters. The student has to complete specified credit hours in each semester. Students have to do project work and industry interaction, for which they have one day earmarked. A student on an average is expected to work for 8 hours a day. ^top
12. What is the pre-dominant teaching methodology?
The main pedagogical methods are case study method and project work. These two methods are supplemented and complemented by role-play, simulation, syndicate discussions, etc. The actual mix varies with the nature of a course.

The Institute has full flagged placement office with modern facilities. We are able to place 95% of our students. There is a Deputy Director (Placement), who is supported by an office assistant. There are student and faculty placement committees. The activities of the placement office are driven by students. The Institute plays the role of a facilitator.

The Institute is well connected with industry. Industry experts are involved in the design, development and delivery of various programmes and courses. As pre-dominant teaching methods are case study and project work, students are well exposed to the industry. On an average, 10% to 20% sessions in a course are handled by practitioners. Chief executives and senior managers are invited to the Institute under CEO Lecture Series, Guest Lecture Series and Institute Seminar Series. Students also invite practitioners under the banner of various student clubs. The Institute organises industry visit to familiarise students with business realities.
